For quite some time now I have been thinking about breeding Maine Coons, preferably with a co-breeder. I have discvovered an outstanding mentor in the guise of Ina Zahlten. Last year she brought two wonderful Maine Coon kittens to Germany from the very US state that gives the cats their name. One of the new foundation girls lives with us and I am very happy about it, since she has the most friendly personality I have ever seen in a female cat. My dream is to recreate this personality in her offspring . "My" kittens should therefore not only be healthy, but also be especially good-natured and affectionate, so that their new owners feel they have found the perfect companion. Our cats will be tested for HD, PKD and HCM before breeding. |
